mettle

scrap metal salvaged from a turn of the century Gold Rush era dump in Dawson, conceived and assembled in situ. Life sized. 2004

This was built on site, and left to collapse back into the scrap pile from whence it came, during a residency at the Klondike Institute of Art & Culture. However, after I left, the work was transported by some enterprising townsfolk and installed in the yard of the residency where it remained for many years before slowly collapsing there.
